Gorgeous Lycian Coast - A journey through the Lycian Paradise

The lycian way is a very famous, world known route for hikers from all around the world who enjoy settings mixed with beautiful sceneries, lycian ruins, and a rich history. With this route, we are exploring this heavenly shores from the sea. We will swim around ancient lycian rock tombs, watch the sun set behind the many stories of a magnificent era. It is always a thrilling joy to sail through Fethiye to Kas and Kekova. Let's see what awaits us!

Ece Marina
We will meet at the Ece Marina on our first day. We will settle in to our boats and do shopping for our beautiful trip. After a quick briefing about boat life and what awaits us on this beautiful trip we will move to the Ece Saray Hotel Bar for a cheerful cocktail watching the sun set. Then everyone can explore the colorful and tasty Fethiye night, either by visiting the Fish Market, where you can eat delicious sea food in an authentic atmosphere or you can enjoy an amazing dinner at Girida Port Restaurant at the Marina. It is all up to you. After that, for people who want to further their night, There is Paspatur (Old Town) of Fethiye which offers a vibrant nightlife.

St Nicholas Island
Distance from last location: 4 nmAlso known as Gemiler Adasi, this beautiful small island in Turkey is popular destination for tourists due to its historical significance and natural beauty. The island has several secluded beaches that offer a peaceful escape from the crowds. We will be anchoring to this historical island and swim among the ancient ruins. We will visit the Island's also an open air museum and if we can make it on time, watch the sun set from the light house at the top. We will also have the chance to see The church on the island dedicated to St. Nicholas, who was the inspiration for Santa Claus. The church was built in the 6th century and is one of the oldest on the island.

Firnaz Bay
Distance from last location: 23 nmWe will leave St. Nicholas very very early to reach the Firnaz Bay. Firnaz Bay is one of the most perfect, picturesque, and untouched site you will visit on your Turquoise Coast trip. The must-see destination of all sailing trips to Kekova from Fethiye, this underwater aquarium-like lagoon is one of the few spots on this region where it is possible to see the sea floor even it is 15 metres deep. The underwater world is full of vibrant marine life, and snorkeling or strolling around with your SUP is always fun.

Kas Marina
Distance from last location: 13 nmAfter a our stop at the Firnaz bay we will pick our anchor up start our short trip to Kas. Kas Marina, set along Turkey’s dazzling Turquoise Coast, is more than just a mooring point—it’s a gateway to discovery and calm. A short stroll leads you into Kas's charming Old Town, where jasmine-scented lanes, colorful markets, and echoes of Lycian history await. The night life is also very vibrant and there are many places to pick from. Whether you're drawn by the sea, the sun, or the stories, Kas is where unforgettable journeys begin.

Simena
Distance from last location: 11 nmSimena, also known as Kaleköy, which translates to "Castle Village" in Turkish, is a charming gem nestled along the southern coast of Turkey. This village is a piece of paradise, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and rich tapestry of history. At its heart, Simena unveils the captivating allure of the partially submerged ancient city of Dolichiste (Kekova Island). The village's crowning jewel is its medieval castle, a sentinel perched high above, granting access to awe-inspiring panoramas of the village, the sea, and the alluring Kekova Island. This castle whispers tales of centuries gone by, making it a living testament to the village's historical roots. Simena offers the opportunity to meander along its narrow streets, flanked by quaint houses and exuding a relaxed atmosphere. Interacting with the friendly villagers is a genuine delight, allowing you to absorb the local culture. Here, you can also indulge in fresh seafood, traditional Turkish dishes, and a taste of regional specialties, perhaps featuring locally sourced ingredients. Nearby, Kekova Island beckons with its hidden coves, ancient ruins, and captivating scenery.

Kekova
Distance from last location: 1 nmThis stunning little island in Turley is largely deserted except for a few goats that wander around the ruins on the north side. These ruins are all that remains of Dolchiste, an ancient Greek village that was destroyed by an earthquake and then rebuilt during the Byzantine period before being destroyed again by Arab assaults. On the north of the island you'll find the ruins of the ancient Kekova sunken city which flooded as a result of the earthquakes and although swimming around the buried ruins is prohibited, they create a fascinating sight as you look through the crystal-clear water from aboard of your yacht.

Karaloz Bay
Distance from last location: 0 nmDue to its geographical characteristics, Karaloz Bay is one of the most unique and interesting bays in the Mediterranean. It is located on the southeast side of Kekova Island in the Demre district. The bay is a sheltered harbor where boats can safely seek cover due to the breezes. It is also a hidden beauty because the entrance is not immediately evident. But you don't want to lose out on the opportunity to travel here. Because of the white sand on the seafloor, the water is a wonderful brilliant deep blue color. In some places of the bay, you can even dive to a depth of 14 meters! You can spend tranquil hours among these postcard-like wonders.

Limanagzi
Distance from last location: 12 nmWe will leave Kalkan and first sail to the beautiful Limanagzi. This hidden treasure of a bay is among the most beautiful ones in Turkey. Unlike bustling Mediterranean hotspots such as Kaputas and Fethiye, Limanagzi offers tranquility, relaxation, and irresistible seclusion as it is only accessible by boat or a hiking trail. Nestled at the base of steep hillsides, Limangzi presents a captivating landscape as ancient rock tombs are watching the bay as they are carved to the cliffs near the bay. As you explore, you may encounter a variety of fish and even be fortunate enough to spot loggerhead turtles. The route of the Lycian Way passes through this area, adding to its allure. Scattered around the bay are charming beach huts and boho cafes, emanating that quintessential Mediterranean spirit that allows you to immerse yourself in the essence of this idyllic setting.

Kalkan
Distance from last location: 13 nmAfter Limanagzi we will sail to Kalkan. The historic district of Kalkan in Turkey is a major draw for visitors, with picturesque streets, Ottoman-style dwellings, and quaint store. With stunning views of the mountainous backdrop and easy access to beautiful beaches and islands, there are plenty of opportunities to sunbathe, relax or enjoy water sports. But the biggest drawcard is the food! Kalkan claims to have the have the most restaurants per inhabitant in Turkey, meaning you can indulge in some of the best dining options in the country, moments from your yacht. Despite its vibrant atmosphere, Kalkan is not a noisy nightlife hub, making it perfect for those seeking a peaceful yet exciting getaway.

Karacaoren
Distance from last location: 24 nmWe will leave Kalkan early and we will drink our coffees while watching the beautiful Patara beach. A place where is again rich in history and house to many battles of lycians. As we leave this long beach and the mesmerising history behind us, we will take a short break at the Karacaoren bay. The aquarium like waters of this bay is just for us to freshen up and be ready for our final push to Kucuk Sarsala Bay

Kucuk Sarsala
Distance from last location: 12 nmAs one of the most famous around Göcek, Kucuk Sarsala definitely lives up to its reputation. It is a bay where the term green meets the blue becomes reality. Tucked between the forest and the blue waters of Göcek sits a rustic restaurant which offers beautiful and tasty food for every foodie. It is always a joy to sit at your table at the evening and you will be chatting all night accompanied by the best scenery.

Cleopatra's Bath (Batik Hamam)
Distance from last location: 1 nmAfter digesting the beautiful meal we had the previous evening we are sailing to our final bay. We will anchor at Cleopatra's Bath - a picturesque thermal bay that is believed to be the cove that Cleopatra used for bathing. We will swim amongst these ancient ruins and finally we will be on our way back to Ece Marina, thinking about all the beautiful things which we have witnessed.

Ece Saray Marina
Distance from last location: 12 nmWe will end our trip at Ece Saray Marina, the biggest and the one with the best facilities around Fethiye region. You will have the chance to explore Fethiye town either by exploring its ancient beauties or just enjoying your time at the boat in the marina until next morning 08:30. Next day we will say our farewells and we will hope to meet you again.
