Before you board

Arrival And Departure

You can travel from major airports and with the usual airlines. If you want to travel in a more climate-friendly way, you can check the options by train or ferry. Please let us know your exact return flight details - the crew will be happy to organize a transfer to the airport or a hotel for you.

This service is not included in the trip price.

Embarkation

On the day of arrival, embarkation usually takes place at 6.00 p.m. If we do not dock in the harbour, our crew will be happy to pick you up with the dinghies (motorised dinghies) at the agreed meeting point. If you arrive later, please contact us to arrange this.

Identity cards / passports:

Your identity card is sufficient for clearing in and out of the Mediterranean. Please give it to the captain or first mate at the beginning of the voyage. They will keep it for the harbour authorities and return it on the day of departure. We would also like to point out that, depending on the sailing area, clearing in and out of customs and harbour authorities may require some patience and may take the captain a few hours. You can relax on board during this time.

Luggage collection times on the day of arrival:

You are welcome to drop off your luggage at the agreed meeting point at the following times: 10 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and at 6 p.m. on embarkation. Please inform the crew on board by telephone if you wish to drop off your luggage at noon or 3 p.m.

Electricity

230V. We ask for your understanding that the output of the generators may be reduced during the night and while sailing. The sockets are of type F CEE 7/3 (German Schuko model). An adapter may be required.

Weather

In summer it is (almost) always nice and warm – although it usually remains pleasant on board above the water – in spring and fall it is cooler, you sometimes need a sweater, and the weather is more changeable than in summer. The winds of the Mediterranean Sea are as diverse as the countries and can be very different depending on the region.

Things you better not forget

A powerbank is very useful on a boat trip. GoPro or similar devices also let's you have amazing videos from trips. We could also suggest books or kindle but on a sailing trip, you probably won't have enough time :) . One other thing to have in mind is to have foldable luggages. Classic trolley kind of baggages may take too much space on a boat and it is not preferable.
